Detroit handed Buffalo their fourth straight loss by a score of 3-1 in one of the only two games happening around the league.
Cody Hodgson capitalized on a turn over to score his eighth goal of the year. What patience he had to, unreal mitts to help get things rolling for the Sabres. I feel like Hodgson is over-shadowed in Buffalo. Due to the fact that he had line-mates such as Jason Pominville, Thomas Vanek, and now Matt Moulson. I think if given a legitimate line to play with, he could easily be regarded as a top forward in the league. Not Stamkos or Kane value, but still a 30-40 goal scorer.
Daniel Alfredsson returned to the line-up and scored the empty netter after returning from a LBI. Tough luck for my boy Ryan Miller, who played awesome as usual. The only reason why Buffalo has a chance to win games anymore. He was accredited with the loss, stopping 31 of 33 shots.
OTTAWA vs. CAROLINA:
Hurricanes downed the Senators, by a score of 4-1 with the solid play of Cam Ward. Ward earned the win after back stopping his team with a 35 save performance including this absolute larceny.
Eric Staal had a multi-point night, registering 1 goal and 2 assists, and Justin Faulk finally recording his first points in a handful of games, getting two apples. Elias Lindholm scored a goal after being called up by the big club.
