MONTREAL vs. ISLANDERS:
Montreal's offense handed the Islanders their 4th straight loss, with a score of 4-2 last night. Montreal's top line seemed to be firing on all cylinders as they combined for a ridiculous 8 points! Alex Galchenyuk started things off and finished the night with 1 goal, and 2 assists while firing 6 SOG.
Youngster Brendan Gallagher also had a big game, with 1 goal and 1 assist, and linemate Lars Eller also with 1 goal and 2 assist. This line needed something, it had cooled down as of late and a lot of people thought they we're done but once again, proving that all good things come in bunches. Or something like that, you get the idea.
Pretty quiet night for the Islanders, John Tavares tallied 2 assists and the team looked flat footed. I think they were missing teammate Thomas Vanek, who sat out the game due to an UBI.
NASHVILLE vs. NEW JERSEY:
New Jersey shutout the Pred's, 5-0 and set a few milestones in the game. It was the Devil's first time scoring 5 goals this season, which was a big surprise seeing as how Nashville usually plays a pretty tight defense. Jaromir Jagr had 1 goal and an assist to give him 1,701 points during his career. I hear the HOF knocking.

He wasn't the only setting records on the team either. Marty Brodeur with his second consecutive shutout, giving him his 123rd of his career, stopping a whopping 15 shots (I rolled my eyes when I typed that, jesus Nashville, at least work for it). Travis Zajac scored his 100th career goal, and Marek Zidlicky had 1 goal and an assist, while Mattias Tedenby potted his first goal of the season.
PANTHERS vs. RANGERS:
Rangers downed the struggling Panthers, 4-3 last night. It wasn't anything to spectacular. Brad Richards had a goal and an assist, giving him 5 points his last 3 games. Chris Kreider and Derek Stepan still finding that chemistry to tally an assist a piece. Brian Campbell finally scoring his first and second goals of the season, and Kris Versteeg with 2 assists, but didn't seem to be enough as they lost.
EDMONTON vs. CHICAGO:
Hawks net 3 in the third, to let Edmonton know that they're still Edmonton. Brandon Saad had a goal and an assist, and Brent Seabrook with 2 assists. Philip Larsen had himself a playmaker for the Oiler's, and Taylor Hall with 2 assists.
Jordan Eberle & David Perron both making something happen, as they each had 1 goal and an assist. Oilers goaltending right now is just the definition of struggling. I wonder how Ilya Bryzgalov fairs in his debut, possibly this weekend?
ANAHEIM vs. VANCOUVER:
Ducks stellar play from rookie tendy, help defeat the Canucks, 3-1. Corey Perry had 1 goal and an assist, even with linemate Jordan Getzlaf out with an injury. That gives Perry 8 points his last 5 games, 21 total on the year. Nick Bonino and Andrew Cogliano both with the other goals.
The story so far for Anaheim has been rookie goalie, Frederik Andersen. With last night's 35 saves, his record improved to 6-0-0 with an astonishing 1.41 GAA, and .952 SV%.
SAN JOSE vs. WINNIPEG:
Sharks drop their 5th straight game, with a 5-4 shootout loss to Jets. Andrew Ladd had 1 goal and an assist, and Grant Clitsome had himself a game, tallying 1 goal and 2 assists. Bryan Little didn't find the back of the net but piled up 2 apples, and Dustin "BIG BUFF" Byfuglien finally scoring his first goal of the season last night. Let the flood gates open. What a play to set Frolik up:

Dan Boyle netted his first and second goals of the season last night, even though it wasn't enough to help the Shark's hold the lead. Will Tomas Hertl ever slow down? He had another goal and assist, and Tommy Wingels quietly contributing a goal of his own.
Sucks to suck Ovi, might wanna make sure you finish that check.........
