VANCOUVER vs. CAROLINA:
Ryan Kesler helped power Vancouver past the Hurricanes Sunday afternoon by a score of 3-2. Kesler managed to find the back of the net for a pair of goals, and continues to play great hockey while staying HEALTHY. After a slow start to the season (1 point in 6 games), he now has 20 points in 29 games.
Jason Garrison is heating back up people, pick him up while you can and ride him like everyone did in the beginning. After going pointless in 14 contests, he now has points in 4 of his last 5 games with 2 apples yesterday. He continues to see top minutes and is a staple on that top PP unit so take action if you can.
Jordan Staal and Nathan Gerbe scored the goals for Carolina, with Eric Staal and Justin Faulk picking up an assist a piece on them. Faulk was pointless in 9 games, but has found his stride as he now has 5 points his last 4 games. Jordan Staal has goals in back to back games, with 3 points his last 4 games.

Well, if Alex isn't scoring or doing anything.......literally ANYTHING.....he's at least contributing somehow. Eddie, better watch yourself, he's trying to make a move on your spot, bro.
DETROIT vs. OTTAWA:
Detroit finally manages to beat the Senators in Alfredsson's homecoming 4-2. It's only fitting that Alfredsson would play a determining factor in this game, he had a goal and an assist, with Kronwall picking up a pair of assists.
Mr. Grey (Drew Miller), finally had a game that was memorable, tallying 2 goals to help his team earn two points, and Gustavsson stopping 30 of 32 shots to improve his record to 7-0-1 on the year. Mika Zibanejad scored another goal during the loss, that gives him 6 points his last 6 games (3 game goal streak) and Clarke MacArthur scoring the other lone goal.

EDMONTON vs. DALLAS:
Edmonton manage to win in a 3-2 shootout, despite being outplayed and out-shot. With Tyler Segin out of the contest due to "concussion like symptoms," it was Ryan Garbutt who put the team on his back.
Garbutt scored both goals for Dallas for his fifth and sixth of the year and to put together a very impressive night. He managed 2 goals, +2 rating, 8 SOG, and 2 PIMS, and 3 hits. Antoine Roussel and Vernon "Diddle" Fiddler had an assist a piece on Garbutt's second goal.
Captain Andrew Ference and Ales Hemsky managed to find twine with a goal a piece to tie the game up, and David Perron recorded an assist and managed the SO winner. Ilya Bryzgalov started the game and was playing well until he was ran into late in the second period by none other than, Ryan Garbutt. He was forced to leave the contest with Devan Dubnyk coming in for relief to stop 15 of 16 shots and earn the win.
