1. John Scott
Most people don't understand just how gold John Scott is. Standing at 6'8, he can easily be that X-factor for leagues that contain a "team height" category. Not only that, but Scott also tries matching up with much smaller players. If you're in a league with a "Downward Punches Thrown" category, John Scott could be a valuable pickup.

2. Mikhail Grigorenko
In leagues that contain a "Gameface" category, there really isn't a better play than Sabres forward Mikhail Grigorenko. He's not your typical gamefacer, as he often finds himself breaking out of gameface to laugh at his statsheet, but when it's on, it's on. Grigorenko, seen left, shows off his gameface to every opposing netminder in warmups. He stands at center ice and flashes that blank stare, letting everyone know that his phasers are set to "kill".

3. Jhonas Enroth
Known to most as "The Fourth Jonas Brother," Sabre's backup Jhonas Enroth is a great spot start. Even though he only plays once every 4-5 games, he's almost guaranteed to win you your "butt clenching saves" category. Enroth, former bathhouse worker, makes 10-12 butt clenching saves per game.
Seen Left: Thrusting his pelvis forward and squeezing his cheeks, Enroth blocks Flyers Defensemen Mark Streit's soft, buttery shot.

4. Rasmus Ristolainen
Another Sabre that can win those oddly specific categories is Rasmus Ristolainen. Ristolainen is a darkhorse in most fantasy leagues, especially leagues the contain a "Neck Protection" category. Ristolainen's neck is soundly protected with a Duell brand neck guard that comfortably protects all the way up to his chin. He's available in most league's free agency pool, but can bring your neck protection level to never-before-seen highs.

5. Zegmus Girgensons
Zegmus Girgensons, the 18 year old from Latvia, is a player that is only valuable in leagues that have draft day categories. These draft day categories give you a certain amount of bonus points every week based a player's draft day performance. If you're in a league with a "Draft Day Awkwardness" category, look no further than Zegmus. Seen left, Girgensons attempts to put on his new Sabres jersey. In Latvia, Zeggy played for the "Skins" team, so never actually had to wear a jersey. His first attempt at wearing a jersey went horribly wrong, and Zeggy ended up with his head buried deep in his sleeve. If you're in a league with draft day awkwardness, you couldn't find a better play than Zegmus Girgensons.
